Mauricio de Sousa’s characters, Monica’s Gang and Ronaldinho’s Team, appear on hundreds of publications for children.  They took the spotlight at this year's 58th Frankfurt Book Fair, the most important international book fair in the world. Over 286,000 people had come to the event with a total of 7,272 exhibitors.

A major attraction at the MSP stand was a life size photo of the soccer player together with his namesake character.  Attendees were photographed next to the two Ronaldinhos.

The fair was a tremendous success and many Brazilian and foreign publishing houses worldwide showed interest in MSP's new editorial projects.  Mauricio signed autographs at the MSP stand and at the Brazilian Book Chamber.

Mauricio de Sousa’s company has a definitive presence in comics and books, holding 70% of the Brazilian market.  Starting in 2007, MSP is looking to increase the publication of books – illustrated, short stories, educational, para‑didactic, toy‑books, and launch new projects.

Monica’s Gang not only tops sales in publishing but also licensing, animated cartoons, promotions, educational campaigns, its theme park and website with over 16,000 pages of free access and 30 million visitors per month.
